It is a competition that is not for the faint-hearted or those who have vertigo.
The bravest of the brave have been taking part in the cliff diving world series contest in Italy.
Crowds gathered on the craggy clifftops at Polignano a Mare on Sunday to watch specactular dives.
Britain's Gary Hunt performed a running takeoff dive which gave him third place.
Colombia's Orlando Duque took second, while Artem Silchenko's handstand position dive got him the best marks from the judges and victory.
Afterwards he said: "Today was my best dive of the series. I've been working very hard to improve. I was up against Gary Hunt and Orlando Duque who are great sportsmen and it's brilliant to be competing against them. Everything today was great and I'll keep up the hard work and prepare myself for the long term, for future victories."
