New Yougov poll on British and French stereotypes

8 years ago312 views

Only 21 miles or so separate us Brits from those French, but our views of each other are still worlds apart, according to Yougov poll (Thursday 5th August). That’s despite France being the top holiday spot for British holidaymakers.

Coming top of the poll, what really niggles us about the French is that they’re not very friendly, consider themselves culturally superior and are “bad at war”! While the French think we’re terrible at cooking, love and that we eat too much.

And it doesn’t stop there. A quarter of Brits think going on strike makes the French happy while they think we’re most content watching the footy with mates and banging on about great British historic achievements.
