Craig Hood plays (with harmonies) Cocteau twins Half-gifts
  • 14 years ago
Craig Hood's acoustic guitar and voice arrangement of the Cocteau twins beautiful song half-gifts from the 1996 Milk and kisses album.

I added harmonies, remixed the sound and sharpened the original video which can be seen here :

The guitar arrangement is a close copy of the bass and synth in the original version.

I first got into the Cocteau twins in 1982 when their first album "Garlands" came out.
I've got loads of their early stuff on vinyl, and I used to take my 12" version of peppermint pig down to my local disco for the dj to play, so I probably helped a few more locals get into them too.
I grew up just across the water from the Cocteau twins home town of Grangemouth.
I also played the drums in a few bands in the early 80's and my drumming was definitely influenced by the Cocteau twins.
