A South Korean man died and another was injured after a mine exploded on a South Korean beach.
The men were fishing at Imjin River near the heavily guarded border with North Korea on Saturday night.
Military sources say one of the wooden box mines seemed to explode when it was opened.
They say the mines are from North Korea and were probably washed there by flooding in the North.
[Major Kim Jung-hoon, South Korean Army]: (Korean) Male
"South Korea does not use any wooden box mines, but North Korea does."
More than 30 wooden box mines have been found in the last two days.
Warnings have been issued to South Koreans living in the area where the mines have been found.
