Chelsea Clinton is marrying her investment banker fiance Marc Mezvinsky this weekend.

The couple have kept details of their lavish wedding secret, but the village of Rhinebeck in upstate New York has been the focus of press attention for weeks.

Former US President Bill Clinton was greated by excited crowds upon his arrival.

The Clintons have been heavily involved in the wedding preparations and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has reportedly been signing personal emails "MOTB" (Mother Of The Bride).

Clinton and Mezvinsky first met as teenagers but only began their relationship a few years ago.

The VIP guest list for the wedding is said to include such A-listers as TV talk show host Oprah Winfrey and filmmaker Steven Spielberg, but President Obama has confirmed that he will not attend.
