Kerrang! magazine's 17th annual award ceremony took place at the Brewery in East London and was hosted by Corey Taylor and Scott Ian for the second year running.

30 Seconds To Mars, fronted by Jared Leto, picked up Best International Band while Paramore took home Best Album for Brand New Eyes, which was certified Gold in the US after reaching number one in seven international album charts.

London-based metallers Rise To Remain were crowned Best British Newcomer with Best International Newcomer going to Trash Talk.
