Lindsay Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, talked to media after visiting her client at a Los Angeles jail.
LiLo is currently serving out a 90-day sentence at a women's correctional facility.
Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, told reporters that Lohan is doing fine and is trying to coordinate her transition from jail to a rehab facility. Lohan is hoping to get some time to spend with her family before checking in to a program.
"The issue is how much time she will have when she is released before she has to do the second part of the sentence, which is rehab."
"She'd obviously like to spend some time with her family and there's at least some question as to whether or not she'll have to go directly to rehab. And I think it would only be fair for her to spend some time with her family and that's what she'd like for me to emphasize to Judge Revel.
"I don't know when she's going to be released but she's concerned, she obviously wants to comply with the courts orders, she understands that the judge wants her to go into rehab but she'd like to have some time at least to spend some time with her family before she does that.
"And I think that there's a push now for her to go directly to rehab from jail; we don't think that would be fair. ... I don't think jail helps anyone ... She's eating and drinking. She looks great."
The 24 year old actress was booked into the jail on July 20 for violating her probation on a 2007 drunk-driving and cocaine possession charge. Lohan will likely serve just 14 days behind bars due to overcrowding issues.
