The third instalment in the Toy Story movie franchise had its London premiere in Leicester Square, with the toys on hand to join in the fun.
Life-size Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie characters wandered the special Lego red carpet greeting fans, joined by new character Lots-O-Huggin' Bear.
Director Lee Unkrich said that although the new film is a 3D feature, the effects were secondary to the story.
"We take a very subtle approach," he said. "We don't like things popping out into the audience and getting all gimmicky because I find that very distracting."
GMTV presenter Kate Garraway and Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster were among the celebrities who brought their families out to see the animated film.
Toy Story 3 stars Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, and opens in the UK this week.
