South Korean Protester Throws Cement Lump at Japanese Ambass

In South Korea, an anti-Japan protester threw a lump of cement at the Japanese Ambassador on Wednesday. It happened when Japan's Ambassador was lecturing in Seoul on bilateral relations.

This man--only known as his family name, Kim--suddenly came out of the audience and threw the chunk of cement.

The Ambassador dodged the attack and was not hurt, but an embassy employee suffered minor injuries.

Kim called himself a guardian of a set of small islands called "Dokdo." The islands have been disputed territory between Japan and South Korea for decades.
