Comedienne Jennifer Saunders has been given the all-clear after being diagnosed with breast cancer last year.

The Absolutely Fabulous star learned of her illness in October 2009, but decided to keep the information secret.

Having worn a blonde wig for the past few months, Saunders was seen out with a new short blonde hair style this week, while attending artist Tracey Emin's birthday celebrations.

One half of hugely successful comedy duo French and Saunders, Jennifer is married to Bottom actor Adrian Edmondson.

A friend said: "The early diagnosis has played a huge part in her recovery. Finding the lump in the early stages was a blessing."
