Visit a step back in time at the Old Hampton Store and Barbeque located at the foot of Grandfather Mountain in Linville. Just off hwy 221 the general store was established in 1921 to serve the growing mountain community. Old Hampton Store and Barbeque serves hand-pulled pork, smoked chicken, turkey and beef on a plate or piled high on freshly baked sourdough rolls with homemade sides and the best homemade Banana pudding around. Hundreds of old timey candies, pottery, freshly ground grits and cornmeal, fruit butters, honey and jams pack the shelves.Dine in the historic general store , on the front porch, or outside under a tree.
