A raging fire continues to batter northeast China. Thousands of firefighters are racing against time to put out the rapidly spreading blaze.
But hot and dry weather conditions are hampering efforts.
Authorities have issued a red alert on Monday, the highest warning it could issue for forest fires.
Smoke was first spotted over the weekend in the Greater Hinggan Mountains in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous region, and has since reached Heilongjiang Province.
