Ozzy Osbourne may have been performing for 42 years, but the heavy metal icon said he still finds it scary when he has to appear in front of his fans. "To be honest with you my stage fright gets worse and worse as I get older. After forty years you would think I would get over it but there is no trick to help you if you have got a sore throat from doing too much singing or shouting or whatever" the 61 year-old-rock star said. Ozzy is currently promoting his tenth solo album Scream which is his first solo without his regular guitarist/songwriter Zakk Wylde. The Prince of Darkness may have been around for a while, but he is just as popular as ever, hordes of fans turning up to meet the legend on the London leg of his promotional tour, and the star said he is working harder than ever: "You have got to get out there now. With this multimedia way of talking to each other now you can not give people enough. I am doing more now at the age of 61 than when I was 21 you know". The former Black Sabbath frontman has made no secret of his struggle with drugs and alcohol over the years, and, according to reports, scientists at the U.S. company Knome intend to analyse Osbourne's full genome in the hope of understanding more about why people are affected differently by a life of excess. However, the rocker does not think he is special: "I am just lucky it was no miracle of science it is just the fact I woke up every morning or came around". Ozzy Osbourne's album Scream is in stores now.
