Dataraper - Patchwork Landscape (Tribute to Ian Curtis)

  • il y a 14 ans
Patchwork Landscape was inspired by Ian Curtis. Frontman of English post-punk band Joy Division, an acute sense of despair and ill-health led to his suicide in 1980. 2010 being the 30th anniversary of his disappearance seemed the perfect time for the homage to be released.

The song is an extract from Dataraper's ep Naught Man's Land published in June 2010 http://dataraper.free.fr

AND NOTHING NEVER HAPPENS,
LOST IN THE MILEAGE,
LOST IN THE WOMBS.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN,
WHERE ARE YOUR SO CALLED FRIENDS,
BORN, AND LIVING ALONE.

NIGEL, NIGEL,
MY ANGEL, MY ANGEL,
SOMETHING BROKEN ON THE FLOOR.

THE FLAT FIELDS ARE IN MY MIND,
I REGRET WHAT I HAVE DONE,
CRY ON MY PILLOW.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN,
WHERE ARE YOUR SO CALLED FRIENDS ?
BORN, AND LIVING ALONE.

NIGEL, NIGEL,
MY ANGEL, MY ANGEL,
SOMETHING BROKEN ON THE FLOOR.

FOR THEM TO FORGIVE ME,
HE WILL NEED TO FORGIVE ME,
FORGIVE US ALL.

NIGEL, NIGEL,
MY ANGEL, MY ANGEL,
SOMETHING IS BROKEN ON THE FLOOR.
