Russell Brand as rock star in Get Him to The Greek

You cannot get more rock'n roll than Russell Brand's new film Get Him to The Greek, if the British comedian is to be believed.

The film is a spin-off sequel from 2008 movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall, in which Brand reprises his role of ageing rock star legend Aldous Snow.

As someone who has enjoyed living in the spotlight for many years, 35-year-old Russell in convinced this film isn't much different from real life in showbusiness.

"This is the most accurate portrayal of the world of rock and roll since the authentic documentary, 'Spinal Tap'.

"It's an articulate rendering of the world of rock and roll, a loving portrait rendered as delicately and realistically as if it had come from that visual literalist, Picasso."

Also starring in the film are Superbad star Jonah Hill as intern Aaron Greene, who gets assigned by his boss Sergio (Sean Diddy Combs) to take rock God Snow from London to Los Angeles for the launch of a major tour.

Get Him to The Greek opens in the UK on 25 June 2010.
