Tom Cruise has worked with a host of Hollywood pin-ups during his 30-year career including Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz and Demi Moore. But for the Top Gun star one actress stands head and shoulders above the rest.

"My favourite leading lady is Kate, my wife," said the actor, 47.

Cruise and Dawson's Creek star Katie Holmes married in November 2006. They welcomed daughter Suri in April of the same year.

Cruise described the four-year-old as: "An extraordinary little girl."

"We're very lucky," he added.

The toddler has emerged as a mini-fashionista in recent years, sporting designer labels, accessories and more controversially has been seen wearing heels. Her wardrobe is reportedly worth £1 milllion. And it seems sky's the limit as her famous parents are happy to pay for it.

"She doesn't have a job yet so she doesn't spend any money on clothes," joked Cruise.

"I think it's important for children to be able to put on what they want to put on. She wears what she wants to wear and we allow her that creativity."
