Film star and fashionista Lindsay Lohan was given a new accessory this week, but it is not one the star wanted. A US judge forced the Mean Girls actress to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet.
Known as a SCRAM device, it stands for Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitor and senses through the skin when a person has been drinking.
It was one of the new conditions imposed by Judge Marsha Revel, who also said that Lohan, 23, had violated her probation after missing a court date.
The judge scheduled a new hearing in July to determine possible further sanctions. The star will also have to complete random weekly drug tests, is banned from drinking and will have to attend alcohol classes.
The punishments relate to her 2007 case, when she pleaded guilty to drink driving and drug crimes.
