This was Reading's 1st game after Mark McGhee's departure to Leicester. Jimmy Quinn, Mick Gooding and Aide Williams took joint managerial control for the match. A great match under the Elm Park floodlights. Steve Bull scores the 1st with an unmarked header. Scott Taylor crosses for Simon Osbourne to nod in the equaliser. Phil Parkinson delivers the ball for Jimmy Quinn to head in Reading in to the lead. Jimmy Quinn trying to defend against Don Goodman scores an OG to equalise for Wolves. Stuart Lovell strikes at goal with Michael Gilkes finishing it off to make it 3-2 to Reading. Gilkes scores again near the end to make it 4-2.
