Lou, I remember watching the Hazel Green video now - a permanent testimonial to the strength and endurance of American corsetry in the twentieth century. She was so sweet though.

Your turntable - that only goes to prove my theory that if you play with anything long enough you'll break it.

Michael, check my favourites on Youtube."Hot Dance Band" is the Hazel Green Orchestra. You'll love it!.No I didn't know Mildred Bailey ate all of Al Rinker's food when kids.
Michael,I have a Califone school player that I replaced the turntable axel on,It was working fine but I decided it needed more lubrication, when I put it back together NO SOUND.I 'm now using an Audiotronics school player.

Mildred Bailey was "gold standard." She had Bing Crosby and her brother Al Rinker on the couch in LA when they were in town trying to get started. Paul Whiteman soon "discovered" them and the rest is now history.

Exquisite, both orchestrally and vocally. Thank you for sharing!

Lou, remind me, I don't seem to know of Hazel Green. Did you know that Mildred Baily was older sister to Alt Rinker, one of Bing's Rhythm Boys. As a schoolgirl she weighed under 100 lbs and rode bareback five miles to and from school with small brother hanging on behind.
Are you repairing the turntable? I would have expected you to have plenty of spare parts.
