They are all involved in the battle against climate change. But above all they are developing “360°”, all-round solutions, integrating the various dimensions of sustainable development. One of these initiatives is the shipping company Ishtar, nominated for the 2008 “Future Generations’ Grand Prix”. This small company based in Ostend has decided to face up to the social problems currently hitting the fishing industry, inventing a new fishing catamaran that consumes less energy and allows fishing to be conducted in an ecologically and economically viable way.
