An update on the cyclone that struck eastern India on Tuesday night: The death toll has risen to at least 120—after 100 mile-an-hour winds struck the states of Bihar and West Bengal.
The cyclone left an estimated one hundred thousand people homeless.
Rescuers are working to bring food and temporary shelter to those affected. They’re also working to restore the telephone and cable lines that were badly damaged.
It’s the deadliest cyclone to hit the area in recent years.
