Above all, he painted portraits for the other headmen, of the Hofje Codde en Van Beresteijn. Pieter was also one, of the headmen, thereof. A portrait, of the Beresteyns' family, was painted by Pieter Soutman. Later, it was mistaken to have been done, by Frans Hals, and, as such, was sold to the Louvre, 1860's.
