Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang hits UK cinemas this weekend and is set to please adults as well as kids with it's homage to other classic children's movies.
Star and writer Emma Thompson, admitted that films including The Railway Children, Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks had obviously influenced the story.
In the second of an expected trilogy of Nanny McPhee films, the scary governess turns up at the home of the Green's, overrun with children due to second World War evacuation.
Thompson's script has attracted a stellar cast including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rhys Ifans and Maggie Smith, and is set to perform well at the box office.
A third film is expected and Thompson even hinted at a fourth, with an idea to place Nanny McPhee with a family in the future.
