Camera captures Dallas police chase crash moment

A suburban Dallas police officer was speeding up to catch a speeding driver last week, when he slammed into another car that pulled in front of him.

The terrifying few moments were caught on Officer Ceron's dashboard camera as his squad car flew off the road and into a wooded area, clipping several trees along the way, before coming to a halt.

Doug Sisk, a spokesperson for Duncanville Police, said that though the officer has been discharged from hospital, he is still recovering from his injuries and emotional trauma.

Investigators are now trying to determine whether excessive speed on the part of the officer was the major cause of the crash but they say from the looks of it, their officer followed proper protocol.
