This is oneof the last recorded performances of The Journeymen recorded in April 1964 . I had the distinct pleasure of performing with The Seaway Singers on the same Canadian "Hootenany" style show that evening some 42 years ago, called "Let's Sing Out" and hosted by Oscar Brand.
Scott McKenzie, of the Journeymen and later "San Francisco", has been most encouraging in my efforts to share these rare last moments of The Journeymen, especially in honour of his dear and lifetime friend, John Phillips. John went on to form the world loved Mama's and the Papa's.

This is a version adapted by John Phillips, tallest in goup, who went on in the summer of 1964 to form the Mama's and the Papa's. Scott McKenzie, on the left, went on to record "San Francisco", written by John Phillips, three years later. This video is the last record of a performance by The Journeymen. They disbanned in May, 1964.

is this the original version of "where did you sleep last night" / "in the pines"?
