Kyle Maclachlan thanked Director David Lynch for all the success he has had in his career.


Citing Twin Peaks as one of his favourite ever projects he also claimed Blue Velvet and Lynch's other work was the inspiration for other shows he is famed for including Desperate Housewives.


He was in London to promote the long awaited release of season two of twin peaks on DVD.


The cult show has been cited as the forefather of shows including Lost, Desperate Housewives and even The Sopranos with it's multi-layered symbolism and metaphors.


Fans of the show have waited years for the second installment and the DVD release is expected to rekindle a cult love affair with that creaky yet sinister American town.
