by Abnova - Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a technique to amplify few copies of a piece of DNA across several orders of magnitude, generating thousands to millions of copies of a particular DNA sequence. There are three major steps (Denaturation, Annealing and Extension) in a PCR and repeat for 30 or 40 cycles.
