Although this issue is credited Russ Carlson, who is the featured pianist, the musical direction of the Crown house bands was is in the hands of Adrian Schubert from 1930 and onwards. Schubert engaged such well known musicians as Mannie Klein, Miff Mole, Tony Partenti and Larry Binyon. The arrangement is still rooted in the twenties. Elmer Feldkamp is singing another outstanding vocal refrain. The record was cut in 1932.

Genia, practically all those Carlson's were excellent as you say, and of course this Elmer vocal is a brilliant plus!

BB, you are right Elmer is the star of this recording although I'm very pleased with the orchestral aspect too.

This is a Great Way to Start My Weekend!
Just had to say again what a SENSATIONAL SONG this is!
I just love the Carlson Orchestra under Schubert's direction and the FABULOUS Piano solo.... by Carlson.... a true virtuoso...
Love the Drums and Horns.....Terrific arrangement....I'm sure much of it was improvised and then Exquisite Elmer was the Icing on this Musical Cake! These musicians really GOT DOWN! Merci.
