Tennis icon Leander Paes will join 7,000 Mumbaikars in the 12th 'Terry Fox Run' to be held in the city on February 14.It will be the tennis champ's second participation in a run that pays tribute to Canadian teenager, Terry Fox, who ran a marathon for 143 cancer patients, despite suffering from osteogenic sarcoma or bone cancer and having his right leg amputated above the knee three decades ago. When he was two-thirds of the way across Canada, the cancer that was in his right knee spread to his lungs. Nine months after his ''Marathon of Hope'', he succumbed, one month before his 23rd birthday.
Speaking on Terry's fortitude and courage, his sister Judith Fox said that Terry never complained about himself, but could not stand to see other patients suffer.
