Shen Yun Performing Arts continues its world tour today. Next, we introduce you to one writer in San Francisco who had this to say about the show.
Over the weekend Shen Yun will travel to Atlanta, Georgia, Raleigh, North Carolina and Montreal, Canada.
Albert Goodwyn is a writer and former stage manager in the San Francisco Bay Area. He watched Shen Yun Performing Arts at San Francisco’s War Memorial Opera House.
[Albert Goodwyn, Writer]:
“The choreography is wonderful. I counted. There was something like 26 dancers on stage at once. And they all moved exactly in time. And that’s great, when you can get that to happen. But sometimes it’s a miracle when it does happen. That’s hard to do.”
His friend, Lucy, was particularly touched by one of the final performances about the persecution of Falun Gong in present-day China.
[Lucy, Audience Member]:
“It just makes me cry. It’s just so sad. But it’s so good that you’re bringing the message out in such a beautiful, incredibly beautiful way … The angels coming together and then the man with the banner at the end. It was just like--yeah! It was just really heartfelt.”
