I'll be writing a jingle for by my closest neighbor, South Park! South Park is Dayton, Ohio's largest historic district, encompassing over 700 buildings. Residents live within walking distance of restaurants, grocery stores, and two of Dayton's largest employers, the University of Dayton, and Miami Valley Hospital. SP has a lot going for it, including: ANational Neighborhood of the Year (N.U.S.A.) Winner Holiday Home Tours Jazz Festivals Shakespeare in South Park performances Porch Patio & Deck Parties Friday nights at South Park Tavern A great place to raise a family Great greenspace for walking dogs Walking distance to downtown Dayton, University of Dayton, Miami Valley Hospital etc. South Park is a place where neighbors gather informally on porches, street corners, and front yards each summer night. It is a place where neighbors are counted on like family. I saw this firsthand during the evening I spent at the South Park Tavern the night I filmed this video. They're great people and really look out for each other. Very few neighborhoods are like this, and I'd consider myself lucky to live in one as closeknit as this one.
