In Central Asia of three criminals abduct Alexander the Great gold helmet from a place of excavation of archeologic expedition. Having declared in Moscow in militia, the chapter of expedition professor Maltsev (Эраст Гарин) casually collides in the bus with the person similar to the leader of criminals — the gangster on a nickname "Senior lecturer". It appears dear person, director a kindergarten Evgenie Ivanovich Troshkin (Evgenie Leonov). Employees of militia persuade it to take advantage of similarity and to take root into a gang with the purpose to find the stolen helmet.
