Critical Thinker, I agree with you that 911 was concocted, but not to instill a general fear. Its purpose was very specific--to get the US to fight Israel's enemies for them. But the notion that the government is using UFOs to instill fear doesn't hold water. The government has gone out of its way ever since the Condon report to debunk or ignore the issue. Remember, Hynek was originally hired by the government to debunk. So was Klass. Who knows how many professional debunkers are out there whose paychecks are courtesy of the taxpayer. Also, where you say "What they do share is to keep YOU and everyone else fearful..." I don't know where you get that "YOU" from, but I have never had any fear of UFOs, and I don't know anyone who does. Likewise, flu shots would only make me fearful if I actually got one.

yuefo (and i think i just got the phonic meaning of your username...lol), i wasnt really rebutting you, just trying to say what critical thinker says in his last post, but wanted to cite some sources for the ideas, they give a lot more info that I could ever write here in a comments section. The Jim Marrs' book really made sense tying together alot of areas/interests I have been compelled to know about /study since I was a kid, ancient civs, cosmology, ufo/et, parapsych, bio/genetics, gnostic religion, secret societies, etc. The book is great because it goes back to our human beginnings and up thru present government and religion.
As to the UFO's --really I think some of the sightings are of actual alien craft, some of govt craft.

yuefo, UFO's and Flu Shots have nothing in common! What they do share is to keep YOU and everyone else fearful and on edge. Take your pick of what is going on: Flu Shots, UFO's, Iran, The Economy or lack thereof. It is all about keeping you afraid. Why??? Because a fearful society is one that can be controlled. We are not even addressing conspiracies. We are talking about the daily drumbeat of keeping you emotionally on edge. The government KNOWS what works on the general population. The Oklahoma bombing seemed to work...for awhile but 9/11 really did the job. It got us involved on a 3 front war and Nobody has a clue why we are even there. Propaganda is a very effective tool because most people don't think!

Carriboo, thanks for your reply. FYI, I've been interested in the subject of UFOs for at least 40 years now. Rather than giving me reading recommendations as a rebuttal, which it seems you are doing, why don't you elucidate Critical Thinker's comment for me? If the government is producing manufactured UFO sightings to induce fear into the population, how will that fear translate into people wanting to get flu shots? You see, I don't gloss over nonsense as casually as some people. While I believe in my share of conspiracies, they do need to have some kind of logic behind them in order for me to sign on.

The Disclosure Project, and Project Camelot (tho use discernment...much good info, some questionable). Excellent book to read, Rule by Secrecy by Jim Marrs (he's been on the History Channel several times, but I read his book a few years before that). Good talk radio program, Coast to Coast AM w/ George Noory. I have seen similar craft to this/these back in 2000 in southern Illinois, late at nite (midnight to 1am). Sightings were reported in local paper by residents (I was going down there to see relatives). History Channel did a show on it 4-5 years later, w/ the few residents that saw it/them.
Seriously, read Rule by Secrecy--ties everything together. From how who/how we got here to govt./politics and religion and everything in between.

I lived in Phoenix from 1990-2003. I seen lights once before heading north on I-17 but dissmissed it. then i actually seen a UFO over Tempe. i never believed in that but i now know they are real, the only reason i don't think it was man made is because the saucer hoovered a couple thousand feet higher than a commercial plane and yet it was 20 times bigger. it had lights too but it was very clear as day. I reported it to the police and the tower at Skyharbor and all i got were people, like i was, who just scoffed.

Keep in mind, UFOs are not necessarily "alien" craft, but products of earth-based advancd/suppressed technology. No doubt some ARE "alien," but what better way to hide/disguise advanced earth-based energy-propulsion systems than to operate them in plain sight and "blame" it on ("alien") UFOs? On some level, the "alien cover-up" IS the conspiracy.
