What would it look like?
What if humanity decided to go left instead of ...right?
What if Unity came from Diversity

no wonder your views are so screwed up.. you cant read. It ONLY says that if you ad the private and government sectors that the US has a higher TOTAL AMOUNT. Its says, PER CAPITA, when you COMBINE BOTH PRIVATE AND GOVERNMENT charities, countries like germany and england FAR EXCEED THE U.S. You must be a politician.

lol, this article merely cites the research I just referenced. nice to be proven accurate.

If you were paying attention i clearly explained that government aid is in fact low as the article cites but when private donations are added for the US and other countries, the US ranking goes to the top. funny how this article says journalists fail to mention all the facts and context and then proceeds to leave out the actual numbers of private giving by Americans... 250 Billion/year and growing....again, placing it at the top of the list of charitable giving.

every body had an agenda. you have to do the research and then research the researchers to know the truth.

Some people seem to want the US and its citizens to be proven guilty, evil and greedy. The facts don't support it. Not to mention, the very people who pretend to be enlightened and loving (as in this video) spread so much division and hate.

I made it quite clear where I found the information I found, USA Giving out of IUPUI and the Hudson Institute. Did you cite yours? No. Why not? Hiding something? Go ahead, post your sources as I did. If you can't it seems there would be reason to doubt you are providing an accurate portrayal of the statistics you have found. The claim I made about the US being an incredibly giving nation is backed up by _decades_ of research by numerous organizations. If you have found something contrary it would be interesting to see. You've claimed contradictory information. Please share.

I used google to get my information, and insured that the website i went to was valid. Im not sure where you got your information, but statistics have a way of reflecting the beliefs of the people who conduct them. Im not saying your wrong or right, its just my findings contradicted yours.

hey dangitwu, its time for you to learn to Google.

URL's are not allowed in comments otherwise I would copy several in for you since you seem to have trouble doing that yourself. Look for USA Giving out of IUPUI and the Hudson Institute.

The data shows consistently that the US is one of the most if not the most giving nation in the world even as a percent of GDP. If you include _only_ federal government giving then the US does rank low as a percent of GDP but when _private_ giving is added in for all nations the US flies right to the top of the list of charitable giving.

So, it seems to indicate that people in the US prefer to give willingly to the organization of _their_ choice rather than trust mommy government to choose for them with the takings from confiscatory tax rates.

If you were instead asking for evidence of people not being perfect then I'm sorry I can't help you, nor would I want to burst your bubble.

gabe, the U.S. may give the most, but we are also the richest and the 3rd most populated country in the world. PER CAPITA which is a better measure because it excludes size as a factor, Germany and britain are FAR mor charitable. look it up. But im really glad you have a positive outlook on humanity. I do too, but while many people think in this fashion, very few act upon it. If you ask the average person their opinion, they will tell you something very similar, yet you dont see many people with solar panels in their front yard or anything, even though they think its a brilliant idea. and YES, they are readily available, and pay for themselves fairly quickly. people, when it comes down to it, are resistant to change.

Listen, I get all this. I undertstand and I even agree with most - but not all of - this message. But the presentation is counterintuitive. As I see it you are attempting to jar the public into realizing that fear and control has blurred the path toward broadening our spiritual consciousness. But the message itself USES fear to DENOUNCE fear. I just know theres a better way to inspire people to take action. And there ARE signs of a spiritual evolution. Anyone who doesnt see that is blinded by the same fear they are trying to cleanse themselves of. But this is a step in the right direction.
