Abandoned military aircraft museum

This is the Khodynka field which used to be the first airport in Moscow and is now located near the center of the city. There were several plants producing aircraft in the nearby area. In the last years the airport was used for aircraft testing purposes but closed in 2003, when construction of skyscrapers began in the neighbourhood. The remaining aircraft intended to become a museum, but is now in poor condition, some planes have been destroyed. The runway is still there and is used mainly for car racing. It cannot be used for takeoff and landing because of the tall buildings set around it.
