This movie is a Julie Stevens movie (please visit http://www.t-dastudio.com) Julie is the Executive Producer of this movie, and she made it because in her heart she believed in the people of Minneapolis/St. Paul, and humanity at large. I made this movie because I wanted to make a movie about something that mattered, and Julie gave me the chance to do so.

On every level, this is a very special movie, from the family that agreed to present their story, to the various filmmakers who, for so many reasons, wanted to express what was in their hearts. I am grateful to have been a member of the team that created this film that captures our desire to be part of making the world a better place...now back to the description...

The "lawn flower logo" was made from 70,000 flowers grown especially for this movie.

There was no digital anything when we made this film! We did have cell phones...the size of canned hams!

We shot the movie on film, edited on a Moviola, A and B rolled the negative, split the audio onto several full stripe mag film reels, mixed audio in a studio with a bank of sound dummies synched to a projector, made an optical audio track, color timed the picture in a laboratory, and finally married sound and picture to print film presentation copies.

These days we'd have captured to cards, ingested our digital assets, cut-render 3D graphics-mix audio-color grade with dedicated software all on one computer. Then, still on the same computer, output a QuickTime reference file, and finally authored and burned DVDs without having left the chair...
