Donna Loren renovates and rejuvenates her signature song "It Only Hurts When I Cry" into a sultry, grown-up 21st century pop tune. Originally performed by Donna as a teenager in the 1965 AIP film Beach Blanket Bingo and again recorded for the LP of the same name, she has now reinterpreted the song as an adult, with style and intimacy; sounds like a classic now. The song was written by Guy Hemric and Jerry Styner. The track was produced by Donna Loren and engineered by Maurice Gainen. Video was produced, directed and edited by Jeffrey Abelson in late July 2009. In August 2009 Donna released a new album entitled MAGIC -The 80s Collection containing the best of her work in the 80s.
