Assimilate SCRATCH and Arnaud Paris at D3
  • 15 years ago
Executive Director, Al Caudullo, was at the Dimension 3 Forum in Pantip, France, just outside of Paris, recently to further explore the world of 3D and caught up with Arnaud Paris, founder of Sysmic Films (http://sysmicfilms.com), who showed up Assimilate's SCRATCH software for 3D editing.

Assimilate's SCRATCH Digital Intermediate Process Solution takes two imports and creates an onion skin, layering the two images on top of each other and allowing you to output onto a 3D monitor so you can see your final results immeditely.

The Assimilate team gives an overview of their SCRATCH Digital Intermediate Process Solution software by saying:

"SCRATCH is a single, open, real time, resolution independent finishing workflow solution with a robust feature set that includes data management, review/playback, assemble/edit, conform, primary and secondary color grading, multi-layer grading stack, audio, visual effects (enhanced by third party plug-ins), support for 1D, 3D and customer developed LUT’s, and final mastering to any format. Whatever your project, SCRATCH will increase your speed, productivity and profitability."

SCRATCH enables a quick turnaround for a Digital Interface (DI) workflow, providing you with reducing the time from days or weeks down to just a few hours.
