In this video, we speak with Shawn "Clown" Crahan, percussionist for Grammy-award winning metal band, Slipknot. Formed in 1995, Slipknot is a Grammy-winning nine-piece heavy metal band. Since their inception, the band has gone through numerous line-up changes, been nominated for seven Grammy awards (winning once), released three DVDs and four studio albums. One of the group’s two custom percussionists is Shawn Crahan. Otherwise known as “Clown,” Crahan is one of the band’s founding members, and is also a huge part of the band’s imaging – from editing their DVDs to Slipknot’s (in)famous masks.
