Grease - you're the one that i want

Grease (en anglais : graisse) est une comédie musicale écrite par Jim Jacobs et Warren Casey.

Elle fut popularisée par le film qui en fut tiré en 1978, avec John Travolta et Olivia Newton-John.

John Travolta avait déjà acquis une certaine notoriété pour son rôle dans La Fièvre du samedi soir (Saturday Night Fever), mais ce fut Grease qui le rendit vraiment célèbre. La bande originale du film — qui mélange rock and roll, boogie-woogie et musique de variétés — fut « numéro un » des ventes dans de nombreux pays (dont la France avec "you're the one that I want" et plus de 1.800.000 copies vendue et l'une des meilleurs ventes de singles en France ,et au Royaume-Unis aussi)

Une suite (Grease 2) fut réalisée en 1982, mais elle eut beaucoup moins de succès.
