Intense heat prompts Philippines to order millions of public school students to stay home

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Sunday, April 28, announced that all schools will have to shift to asynchronous classes or distance learning from April 29 to 30 as on-site classes have been suspended due to hot weather and transport strikes.
