Calls for a restart of ceasefire talks as Israel gears up for Rafah offensive

After weeks of delays, negotiations, and distractions, Israel appears to be gearing up for its ground invasion in southern Gaza. Dozens of Israeli tanks and armoured vehicles have been seen near Rafah, Gaza’s last 'safe zone' where most of its population is sheltering. Egyptian officials are in Jerusalem to urgently restart ceasefire talks and avert an Israeli offensive.
