During his investigation, Cheng Rui discovers that the woman's death is related to crimes like fraud masked as loans and subsequent violence from aggressive debt collectors. Businessman An Yi Ming (Eric) has been listed as a key target for investigation.
Cheng Rui wants to look into the case further, but he has been asked to close the case as soon as possible. In a city full of danger, An Yi Ming's wife, Zhou Tong (Qin), and economics professor Zhao Xian Yu (Julian) are caught in the fray. Cheng Rui and his colleagues are deep into the case without realizing that there is a bigger conspiracy behind it.
