Last week, the parents of Mohammed Abdul Arfath reported a ransom call demanding a substantial sum and threatening to sell their son's kidney if unpaid. Arfath, pursuing a master’s degree in IT in Ohio, went missing since March 7. Majlis Bachao Tahreek spokesperson raised the issue, urging assistance from External Affairs Minister Jaishankar. This follows a series of troubling incidents involving Indian students in the US, including deaths and disappearances.
