When Fortune Smiles is a 1990 comedy romance crime film written by Raymond To Kwok-Wai (杜國威) and directed by Anthony Chan Yau (陳友). The film stars Stephen Chow Sing-chi (周星馳), Sandra Ng Kwan-yue (吳君如), Anthony Wong Chau-sang (黄秋生), Anthony Chan Yau (陳友), Shing Fui-on (成奎安), Lam Kau (林蛟), Mui Siu-wai (楳小惠) and Hui Ying Sau (許英秀).
Mr Tsao (Hui, the head of a rich family dies and in his will leaves his fortune to his daughter, Fei Fei (Sandra). His son, Wai (Anthony) is enraged and engages a rubbish collector, Rubbish Fung (Sandra), who looks the same as his sister to steal the fortune. The Second Uncle (Lam)'s son, Lung (Shing), also wants a piece of the fortune and coerces a small time thief, Vincent Hing (Stephen) into stealing the will for his wild scheme.
