Detectives investigating the death of 10-year-old Shay Kang in Rowley Regis have charged her mother with murder. Shay was found with injuries at an address in Robin Close on Monday. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Monday's budget meeting saw Birmingham City Council's leader warn of decisions that could have a "lasting impact" on every single neighbourhood in the city. Bin collections, leisure fees and street lighting are all impacted as well as highways maintenance and graffiti removal.
Historic England will consider bids to list Birmingham's Electric Cinema, which recently closed. Despite reopening in 2022, it was confirmed last week that the venue would shut for the foreseeable future.
