Liverpool's Win Over Wolves in 2022, with a Familiar Face Spotted Celebrating Mo Salah's Goal

When Mo Salah struck late in Liverpool's clash with Wolves on the final day of the 2021/22 season, the title race hung firmly in the balance.

Jurgen Klopp's side entered that game one point behind Manchester City and needed to better the Citizens' result to secure a second Premier League win.

Both teams went behind on the day, with City overcoming a 2-0 deficit against Aston Villa thanks to goal from Rodri and an Ilkay Gundogan brace.

Liverpool kept up the chase however, and Salah bundled home from close range after 84 minutes to put the hosts in front after Sadio Mane had equalised in the first half.

After the Egyptian raced to the corner flag flanked by Roberto Firmino in front of a jubilant Anfield, a delighted ball boy can be seen joining in the celebrations.

That ball boy was Reds starlet Jayden Danns, who netted twice in the club's midweek FA Cup victory against Southampton after coming on as a substitute in just his third senior appearance for the club.

On that day in 2022, Andy Robertson would add a third goal for the Reds in the closing stages, but their efforts would ultimately be in vain as City held on to claim the top spot.

This season, however, Danns could prove to have a significantly more direct impact on Liverpool's title ambitions.

Liverpool currently sit top of the league two-thirds of the way through the campaign, leading title rivals City and Arsenal by one and two points respectively.

Speaking following Danns' FA Cup brace in midweek Jurgen Klopp compared the 18-year-old to darts prodigy Luke Littler.

'It is a little bit like the new darts sensation, it is fine for tonight,' said Klopp.

'Tomorrow, leave the boys in the corner. Everyone who is with us should have our moments, they will have more moments than we expect.

'Exceptional talents, of course, it is not natural that a boy aged 18 is as calm as you like.

'The second goal, calm as you like, he saw when Conor (Bradley) shot that the goalie could not take it.

'Don't forget it when the transfer window opens, don't (ask for) 12 signings!'
