Synopsis :
Lors d'une représentation théâtrale, Oscar Ekdahl, le père de Fanny et Alexandre, meurt des suites d'une hémorragie cérébrale. Sa mort plonge la famille dans la consternation. Emilie, la jeune veuve, est séduite par Vergerus, un évêque puritain, et ne tarde pas à l'épouser, au grand dam de ses enfants....
