Four people have denied helping Elle Edwards's killer. Connor Chapman, 23, was found guilty last July of murdering the 26-year-old outside the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey on Christmas Eve 2022. David Chambers, 42, Danielle Dowdall, 34, Paul Owen, 54, and Roxanne Matthews, 33, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday charged with assisting an offender. The defendants were given conditional bail ahead of a pre-trial hearing on June 3.

Liverpool Council has awarded a new contract worth tens of thousands of pounds in a bid to get the much-delayed work at Moorfields station up and running. Now, an £80,000 contract has been awarded to specialist fitters in a bid to get the work off the ground at long last.

The organisers of the Liverpool Plinth are now searching for the next person to create a stunning piece of art to adorn the space. The annual Liverpool Sculpture Prize has now reopened for entries ahead of the unveiling of this year's winning piece of art in June. The prize, created by the Liverpool BID Company and the Liverpool Parish Church, is open to any sculptor based in the UK and comes with £2,500 in prize money for the winner.
