Updated S3 introduced with an upgraded engine, an improved transmission and a new torque splitter

Audi has released the first images and details of the 2025 S3 ahead of its full reveal.

Described as "more than just a product upgrade", the car is equipped with a new front end with a revised grille as well as a repositioned logo. These are accompanied by a sportier bumper and evolutionary headlights.

The changes continue at the rear, as the model is equipped with a new bumper with angular reflectors placed in a recess that mimics the ventilation. We can also see new taillights, Akrapovic exhaust and a much more aggressive diffuser.

While Audi has been coy about styling changes, the company has confirmed that the car features an upgraded 2.0-liter TFSI four-cylinder engine. Produces 328 hp (245 kW / 333 PS) and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque; This means an increase of 23 hp (17 kW / 23 PS) and 15 lb-ft (20 Nm). Thanks to its extra power, 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) takes 4.7 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).

The engine is connected to a seven-speed S tronic transmission that offers better responsiveness. As Audi explains, "shift time under full load is halved, and engine revs are increased under partial load when the transmission is set in position D."

Elsewhere, the model is equipped with a torque splitter that allows "active, fully variable torque distribution between the rear wheels". At the other end is a McPherson strut axle with a new pivot bearing. Audi says this allows for more negative wheel camber, which results in better steering response and more grip when cornering.

Highlights include stiffer suspension arms, an optimized steering system, a new dynamic plus mode and two new high-performance tires from Falken. The model also features upgraded brakes and next-generation electronic stabilization control.

Speaking of brakes, the S3 now has larger ventilated front discs measuring 14 inches (357 mm). In addition to being larger, the front discs are 0.2 in (4 mm) thicker and are supported by dual-piston calipers and larger pads.
